Most of us spend some (maybe too much) time on Instagram, browsing through images. We're not exactly studying them, but still those might be the images that are informing and guiding, no matter how subconsciously, how we take our own images.
And there are some excellent photographers on Instagram. But they aren't (with maybe a few exceptions) the very best. If we are going to study and absorb photographs, why not look to those already recognized as the best at their craft?
I've set up a few pages on strt-photography.com for each of the 21 street photographers that I consider to be the very best. The GOATs. The legends. Skip over to the Resources page and you'll see their names listed, each as a link to a page about them with a few images, quotes and other links to find out more.
They've created amazing images, sometimes beautiful, sometimes challenging. They've documented, innovated and inspired. So if you're not already familiar with Fred Herzog or William Egglesone or Diane Arbus, to name a few, this should give you a good place to start.
